DLA chooses new head of procurement

Norris will lead a group advising public and private sector clients on procurement matters.
Norris will operate from the firm's Leeds office. He said: "The regulation of procurement by the public and utility sectors is of ever-increasing importance, both from a commercial and a legal perspective."
The group will assist clients to comply with national and EU directives, including the Government Procurement Agreement.
Norris said: "The award by bodies operating in these sectors of large-scale contracts for works, services or supplies will often be subject to one or more of a number of legal regimes that are designed, essentially, to ensure that effective competition takes place.
"My intention is to build on strong foundations so that DLA acquires a good reputation across the EU for advising on regulated procurement matters."
