The Rt Hon George Villiers, seventh Earl of Clarendon, Richard and James Steel, and the Hon George Lopes are taking Roger Baylis-Duffield of Swanmore, Hertfordshire, to the High Court in a property dispute. They are suing him for specific performance of a written agreement dated November 13 last year for the sale to him of a property at Soberton Mill, Swanmore, and damages for alleged breach of contract. Alternatively, they seek a declaration that because of his alleged repudiation of the agreement, they are released from liability for further performance of their obligations, and that the deposit paid under the agreement should be forfeited. They are represented in the claim by London solicitors, Bircham & Co.
