Winckworth Sherwood’s turnover fell by 6.8 per cent to £19.3m for the 2009-10 financial year. This is a shallower drop than might be expected from a firm with such a large property practice, but Winckworth Sherwood distinguishes itself by splitting property work 50-50 between social housing and real estate.
Other strong areas for the firm include the ecclesiastical and parliamentary practices, which represent the Archbishop of Canterbury and Crossrail respectively.
Winckworth Sherwood doubled its employment practice in June with a team from Dawsons and is in the process of building its family and commercial teams.
The firm moved to new offices at London Bridge a little over a year ago after more than 200 years in Westminster.
