Turnover at Gloucestershire-based firm Rickerbys has held steady over recent years.
In 2007-08 the firm recorded £9.9m in gross fees and again in 2008-09.
This year, however, the firm posted £8.8m with a profit of £1.6m.
The firm is largely dependent on property work for the bulk of its revenue, with the department containing five of the firm’s 17 partners. Corporate and private client work also provide a sizeable chunk of the firm’s earnings.
Rickerbys considers itself a regional firm, with clients in Cornwall, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham. It positions itself in geographical areas where it feels there is limited competition and where it can build community relationships.
Some of the firm’s biggest clients include Cheltenham Ladies’ College, British Waterways Board and Countrywide Estates.
