Matthew Arnold & Baldwin’s (MAB) work for financial institutions such as Barclays and Woolwich continues to be the mainstay of the litigation practice. The group turned over £6.8m, or 50 per cent, of MAB’s total revenue of £13.6m – although that figure was down from the previous year’s total of £14.2m.

Litigation posted the highest revenue per partner at £618,000 compared with a firmwide average of £486,000. Strategically MAB’s biggest decision in the past 18 months has been to manage an exit from property portfolio work.
