Earlier this year Richard Marshall, managing director at ambitious Leeds-based outfit Lupton Fawcett, said he planned to double the firm’s turnover within the next few years.
The figures for 2009-10 show that it is moving in the right direction. Turnover rose by 9 per cent to £12.1m. The growth spurt was also helped in 2008 when the firm acquired 38 staff, including 10 partners, from Fox Hayes shortly before that firm went into administration, strengthening Lupton Fawcett’s capabilities in corporate, litigation, personal injury and sports law.
In May the firm once again revealed its ambitious side when it launched a sports agency in a joint venture with former Arsenal and Republic of Ireland footballer Frank Stapleton.
