Furley Page Solicitors was established in 1725, but its modern form owes its shape to a merger in 1967. Since then the Canterbury-headquartered firm has grown across the South of England, with offices in Whitstable, Chatham and, as of January 2009, London. The latest office concentrates primarily on insurance work.
The firm, which has 20 partners (15 equity), focuses on private client, dispute resolution, employment, commercial property, corporate and personal injury. Its clients include the University of Kent.
Under managing partner Peter Hawkes Furley Page has kept turnover steady throughout the downturn. Last year total revenue was £7.2m, £2.4m of which was net profit.
