South West firm Foot Anstey posted double-digit growth in both net profit and average profit per equity partner (PEP) on the back of just a 1 per cent rise in revenue, from £20.09m to £20.3m. Net profit for the 2009-10 financial year jumped by 11 per cent, from £4.4m to £4.9m, while PEP shot up by 23.8 per cent, from £151,000 to £187,000. The equity spread was £153,000-£218,000.
This growth in the PEP was delivered in spite of an increase in the number of equity partners from 15 to 17. Foot Anstey’s litigation department, which has a particular focus on media work, had the strongest year, with revenue jumping by 5 per cent. Key clients include Which?, Associated Press, Hitachi Capital and Halfords.
