Midlands firm Flint Bishop’s turnover dropped by 17 per cent to £10m last year, broadly in line with the 15 per cent drop the firm predicted in March 2009.
Property, which accounts for roughly a quarter of the firm’s business, is responsible for some of the damage. However, the firm has no debt, allowing it to avoid some of the turbulence felt by its peers.
The firm’s resilience is helped by its strength in litigation, licensing and private client work, which it hopes will yield rewards when the economy finally enters recovery.
