As an insurance litigation firm Fishburns is about as downturn-resistant as a law firm gets.
The firm’s 2009-10 turnover is testament to this, rising from £14.1m to £17.1m in what was a banner year for the firm. Fishburns attributes this result to the growth of its core market, which allowed it to take on more staff during the year.
The 74-lawyer, 18-partner firm is headquartered in London. In 2007 the firm opened an office in Dublin, which last year produced a turnover of £1.3m.
The firm is particularly strong in professional indemnity matters and is also known for handling professional negligence claims.
