Litigation and insolvency specialist Edwin Coe had a strong year, increasing turnover by 19 per cent to £16.4m and posting a net profit of £5.4m.
The firm’s average profit per equity partner (PEP) also shot up to £487,000.
The results follow a disappointing 2008-09 in which PEP fell by 20 per cent after Edwin Coe expanded rapidly, taking on five partners and new office space.
Not that the firm stood still last year, with Edwin Coe scooping telecoms partner Ted Mercer from Taylor Wessing in April 2010. There are indications that further big-name hires are in the pipeline.
