It was a mixed year for Dawsons, which saw turbulence and departures in its employment department – probably its best-known practice area – but which celebrated an increase in turnover, from £10.8m to £11.7m. Much of that increase was due to a resurgence in corporate work to £2.3m, representing a revenue per partner (RPP) of £585,000. Litigation accounted for £2.9m and displayed the highest RPP of £725,000. The firm says that more rigorous provision for bad debts was behind its average profit per equity partner drop, from £200,000 to £175,000. The equity spread ranged from £150,000 to £210,000.
