Thames Valley firm Boyes Turner’s turnover has grown steadily over the past three years. In 2007-08 and 2008-09 the firm recorded a total revenue of £12.7m and £13.4m respectively. This year it was up to £14m, with a net profit of £3.5m and a margin of 25 per cent.
Boyes Turner is largely dependent on corporate work for the bulk of its revenue, with the department containing 12 of the firm’s 25 partners. Litigation and property also provide sizeable chunks of the firm’s earnings. But it is the firm’s industrial disease group, focusing on high-end personal injury work such as asbestos litigation, that stands out.
Boyes Turner’s biggest clients include Porsche, Guardian Media Group and LG Electronics.
