Revenue dipped slightly at Scottish firm Biggart Baillie during the 2009-10 year, falling from £17.5m to £17m. This followed a 15 per cent fall from £20.6m the previous year.
The firm, best known for retail property work, has been adversely affected by the difficulties in that sector. That said, it won instructions such as advising Hammerson on the Scottish aspects of its acquisition of the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.
Elsewhere the firm was hit by the loss of three partners, including corporate head David Allan, to Brodies during the year.
The firm operates a modified lockstep in which partners receive 95 per cent of their remuneration from a seven-year lockstep. The remainder comes from a bonus pool.
