Cheltenham-based BPE Solicitors, a corporate and commercial-led firm with an impressive heavyweight client roster that includes the likes of Mears Group, looked to have slightly missed its projected revenue target of £6.4m at press time (it changed its year-end to 30 September last year).
The ahead-of-budget corporate group, boosted by deals such as the £28m main list takeover of homecare operator Supporta by Mears, and a booming asset finance recovery team, was offset by a softness in parts of commercial litigation, including contentious construction.
Average profit per equity partner at BPE, which has eight equity partners, was £157,000. Net profit was £1m and total lockup was 180 days.
