Turnover at Birmingham-based Anthony Collins Solicitors has grown steadily over the past three years. In 2007-08 and 2008-09 the firm recorded total revenues of £11.6m and £11.9m respectively. But last year revenue shot up to £13m.

Anthony Collins is largely dependent on corporate work for the bulk of its revenue, with the department bringing in 48 per cent of the total annual income. Litigation and property also provide a sizeable chunk of the firm’s earnings. The lockup target at the end of the 2009-10 financial year was 160, while average work-in-progress at the year-end was 92.5 days with 59.8 debtor days.
