With five offices across Scotland, Digby Brown is among the largest players in the personal injury arena north of the border, focusing exclusively on the claimant side. During 2011–12 the firm posted a healthy turnover of £17.9m with finance director Jim Wright reporting strong demand for its services, particularly on high value matters. The firm’s 17 partners are supported by more than 60 solicitors as well as a large number of fee-earners and it has particular expertise in the fields of catastrophic head and spinal injury.

Digby Brown has a long association with the labour movement, successfully representing trade union members on a number of large industrial accident and disease claims. Wright reports that he is confident about Digby Brown’s growth prospects for the year ahead — as evidenced by its decision to take on 11 new trainees in 2012, the largest intake in the firm’s history.
