Dickinson Dees has boosted its nascent Leeds office with the hire of Pinsent Masons’ local office head.
Partner Mark Owen, who has been appointed to bring forward Dickinson Dees’ growth plans, will be based at the firm’s new Leeds office, which opens next week.
He has experience of working on property development in both the public and private sectors. He specialises in projects such as business parks, shopping centres, city centre retail schemes and mixed use developments and his recent clients at Pinsents include Barnsley, Bradford and Leeds councils.
Dickinson Dees said Owen will develop the firm’s work on large scale commercial projects.
The firm’s senior partner John Marshall said: “We’re extremely pleased to announce Mark’s appointment. He’s a well known and high-calibre individual who will fit well into our firm.
“His appointment, along with a number of other recent senior recruitments made, demonstrates our ambitious plans for growth in the Yorkshire market from our new Leeds base.”

Hardly a surprising move on his part - after all he has made a bid for freedom before - perhaps he regretted accepting the geegaws they used to get him to stay

I worked with Mark for a number of months. He is very talented with a wicked sense of humour - good luck!
