Dibb Lupton Alsop's London construction partner David Hickman has moved to the London office of rival national firm Hammond Suddards.
Hickman has substantial Private Finance Initiative (PFI) experience and will be given national responsibility for the development of the firm's inter-departmental PFI work.
It is understood that he moved partly because he believes PFI is more central to Hammonds' corporate practice. Hammonds has a much larger construction and engineering practice in London and Leeds than Dibbs.
He said: "Hammonds is an ambitious firm with a clear commercial focus. I am delighted to be joining."
Hickman led the team advising the Government on the UK's first ever overseas PFI project and also acted for a company which won a major PFI project to operate a new Ministry of Defence training facility.
Last week's article, "Post office trades red tape for added value", said Dibbs was one of four firms which won a place on a new Post Office panel. In fact, Hammonds was the successful fourth firm.
