Dibb Lupton Alsop has poached an insolvency partner from rival national firm Hammond Suddards. Philip Coates joins Dibbs' Manchester office in June as part of the corporate recovery and insolvency team. At the beginning of March John Alderton from the Dibbs Manchester office went over to Hammond Suddards following the departure of department head Peter Manning to Simmons & Simmons in London. Dibbs' former managing partner Paul Rhodes runs Hammond Suddards insolvency department in Leeds. Four insolvency lawyers were also made up to partner level this week. Dibbs managing partner Nigel Knowles said "The Corporate Recovery & Insolvency practice is a key and growing part of our business and we want to ensure that we have the best operators.
