It is understood that the panel was set up amid efforts to establish formally a process for employment matters within the logistics company, which currently has approximately 285,000 employees.
Eversheds, which has a longstanding relationship with the courier, had previously advised DHL on competition issues relating to its £1.6bn outsourcing deal with the NHS last September. Brabners had provided advice on all property-related matters on the NHS deal. It has now managed to cross-sell the relationship into its employment team.
The Clydes team has been providing employment advice to DHL for more than six years and had worked on Tupe (transfer of undertakings, protection of employment) and trade union matters for the courier.
The appointment of the Beachcroft team follows the firm's 25-year relationship with Exel Europe, which was acquired by DHL in 2005.
It is understood that DHL's senior employment counsel Karen Brown carried out the employment panel review.
The panel is to provide advisory services on matters such as equal opportunities, Tupe, trade union issues and industrial relations.
