  • Well, the article is good for a (hollow) laugh. "Steve is a selfless human being who gave so much to the firm and only wanted it to do well". Yes, sure, to the tune of a selfless $6m compensation package from an ailing firm which could not pay its other partners. And who awarded that to him? Even when there was a proposal to defer some of this, the deferred amounts were to be secured by a promissory note which would have given priority over other partners. I could be very selfless for $6m pa. Selfless? Jim of the Royale Family would have the perfect riposte.

  • Isn't it amazing that, just after the hose pipe ban was introduced, rainmakers have been seen all over the place in the last few weeks. Unbelieveable. I blame global law firms.
