Howard Kennedy and Travers Smith have advised on the £111.8m purchase of a one million sq ft riverside development site at Greenwich Reach, near the Thames in South East London. Howard Kennedy advised Roamquest, a subsidiary of developer and existing client Galliard Homes, on the purchase of the site from central London office development company Derwent London. Greenwich Reach has planning consent for 900,000sq ft of private and affordable homes, as well as 71,000sq ft of shops and offices. The transaction completed within five working days of Roamquest being given exclusivity on the deal. The Howard Kennedy team was led by property partner Chris Langan, who said: "The commercial terms dictated that our client did this in five days, and that's something we delivered on. Speed can add something to your bid that gives it an advantage over others." A team from Travers advised Derwent London, also an existing client, led by property partner Simon Rutman.
