Dentons turnover up 6 per cent at half-year
Denton Wilde Sapte has grown turnover by six per cent for the first six months of 2008-09 to hit £78.3m.
The firm made £74.1m during the same period for 2007-08, which was a 10 per cent hike on 2006-07.
Chief Executive Howard Morris (pictured) said: "This is a solid result given the current level of uncertainty in the market."
Growth during the first six months of the financial year received a shot in the arm from the firm’s Middle East network, where revenue grew by 59 per cent over the period.
Dentons has eight offices across the Middle East, including three associate offices. At the end of the last financial year the region accounted for a fifth of total firm turnover of £164.4m.
Morris predicted: "Its going to be a year of two halves. October was probably the most difficult month this year, even in prospering areas.
"Our strengths in a number of practices and high growth markets will be key to our activity levels for the second half of the financial year. Nonetheless, the events of the last few months have shown that huge upheavals can come with surprising speed, and we're taking a measured approach to our expectations for the rest of the year.”
