Denton Wilde Sapte has strengthened its commitment to Asia with the appointment of its London corporate head to the new role of Asia senior partner, based at the firm's Hong Kong office.
Steven Goodman will be responsible for the Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing and Singapore offices from 1 May. Outgoing Hong Kong managing partner Raymond Kwok will return to full-time fee-earning. London-based partner Philip Goodwin becomes the new head of corporate.
The moves coincide with restructuring in the Middle East. London banking and finance partner Neil Cuthbert will take on the new role of head of banking and projects for the region. Cuthbert also takes over the role of managing partner for Dubai from Martin Kitchen, who returns to London after completing his term in office.
The appointments follow a global review by international managing partner David Moroney. He says: "Both positions didn't exist, but are clearly required to coordinate the strengths and realise the business opportunities in both regions."
