Dentons’ partnership shrinks by half-a-dozen

Six lawyers have left the partnership at Denton Wilde Sapte across the banking, corporate, dispute resolution and tax departments since the end of March.

Four of the ex-partners were based in the UK - a dispute resolution partner and two corporate partners left the firm, while a former head of the tax department retired from his position.

One of the corporate duo has set up his own practice and remains a consultant to the firm, while the other has been moved out of the partnership to the status of managing associate.

One Russian-qualified banking partner has become a trainee, as she is in the process of qualifying as an English lawyer. Another corporate partner, who was formerly based in Muscat, Oman, has left the firm and will return to his native Sudan.

With six new promotions into the partnership on 1 May, Dentons now has a total of 186 partners.
