Denton Wilde Sapte moves on Abu Dhabi

Denton Wilde Sapte is launching an attack on lucrative projects work after being awarded licences to practise in Abu Dhabi and Oman.

The firm acquired a presence in both countries through Denton Hall's purchase of Fox & Gibbons two years ago (The Lawyer, 13 October 1998).

The firm has now won licences to practise in its own right.

Denton Wilde Sapte chairman James Dallas says: "This is the final piece in the jigsaw in the acquisition of the assets and goodwill."

Oman and Abu Dhabi are rich sources of project work, which is often extremely profitable because of the intensive nature of the deals.

One of the firm's recent Middle Eastern deals was advising the Oman government on the Al Kamir Power Project.
