Denton Wilde Sapte fills media post

Denton Wilde Sapte's head of corporate is moving post and taking the helm of the firm's media and technology department.

Tony Grant is replacing Alan Williams, who has stood down as the leader of the firm's prestigious media group. Partner Steven Goodman takes over as head of the 37-partner corporate department.

Grant says that he plans to boost the firm's media and technology department by combining corporate skills with the traditional practice.

He says: "Clients are not interested in the division of our departments. I have found the work I've been doing is increasingly in the media, new media and technology sector."

Goodman says that he plans to continue the expansion of the corporate department by making lateral hires across the board.

He says: "We have grown 100 per cent in the last three years in terms of lawyers, revenue and work. We are incredibly busy and always looking to recruit at all levels."
