Dechert’s London office has lured a partner from Lawrence Graham to bolster its finance and real estate practice.
Kathleen O’Donnell will join Dechert’s seven-partner real estate finance team in London on Monday (4 December) and will work under practice leader Ciaran Carvalho.
O’Donnell mainly has experience on the lending side of real estate finance. Her clients include Bank of Scotland and GMAC, which is also a prized client of the Dechert team.
Her move to Dechert will plug the gap left by senior solicitor Stephen Royle, who moved to DMH Stallard earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Graham’s cross-practice real estate finance team loses O’Donnell a month after its former head of residential property, Elaine Slee, went to property boutique Pemberton Greenish.
Carvalho said in a statement: "Kathleen represents an important addition to our team. She adds to our strength servicing clients she already knows well. Her extensive real estate and mortgage finance experience is important for the continued growth of our European practice."
