Dechert's London office has recorded a turnover of £45.5m for its first full financial year following its transatlantic merger in July 2000
Total firmwide income for Dechert's financial year ending December 2001 was £238m. Titmuss Sainer Dechert changed its financial year following its merger with US firm Dechert Price & Rhoads 18 months ago. The London figure for 2001 shows a 21.7 per cent increase on the previous year, when turnover stood at £37.4m. For 2001, London equity partner fee earnings were £1.27m, while fees per fee-earner in London (including trainees and paralegals) was £230,000. Dechert's business plan for its current financial year includes an increase in the chargeable hours target for associates, from 13,500 to 15,000 for the year.
