Dechert chairman wins fifth term

Dechert has re-elected its chairman for a successive fifth term.

Barton Winokur will remain as the firm’s incumbent until 30 June, 2006.

Winokur, an M&A lawyer who has practised at Dechert since 1965, was first elected eight years ago and led the firm through the 2000 merger of Titmuss Sainer Dechert and Dechert Price & Rhoads.

Winokur was re-elected to the post unopposed.
