Dechert has raided rival US firm Fried Frank to bolster its newly-opened Frankfurt office, picking up partner Sven Schulte-Hillen.
Schulte-Hillen was previously managing partner of Fried Frank in Frankfurt, having founded the office in 2004.
The hire follows Dechert’s January 2012 announcement (17 January 2012) that it was opening in the city to build on the firm’s funds expertise elsewhere in Europe.
Schulte-Hillen focuses on multi-jurisdictional M&A and corporate finance transactions for clients ranging from family offices to private equity firms, both domestic and global, as well as on capital fund formation and corporate restructurings. His hire kickstarts a corporate team for Dechert in Frankfurt.
Dechert’s Munich managing partner Federico Pappalardo said there were strong synergies between Schulte-Hillen’s practice and that of the firm’s existing corporate group in Munich.
