Washington DC-based Crowell & Moring has elected both a new chairman and a new managing partner.
Kent Gardiner, a partner in the firm's antitrust group, succeeds incumbent John Macleod as chairman.
A former trial lawyer with the antitrust division of the US Department of Justice, Gardiner has practiced with the firm for 19 years. He has served on the firm's management board and on its three-person executive committee for the last five.
Macleod, who will remain at the firm as senior partner, completes his second consecutive terms as chairman, a position he has held since 2000.
David Siegel, who has served with the firm for 24 years, replaces the recently retired Herbert Martin as managing partner.
Scott Winkelman, co-chair of the firm's Torts Group, has also joined the management board.
