Eric Grossman took up his new role at the start of the year replacing James Cusick, who has left the bank to pursue other interests. Grossman will report to general counsel Gary Lynch.
Grossman was a partner in Davis Polk's New York litigation team. Recent cases include advising Sterling Mets, the owner of the New York Mets Major League Baseball franchise, in a breach of contract litigation brought by SportsChannel Associates.
Davis Polk has one of the biggest litigation practices in the US, with around 170 lawyers in New York and Menlo Park. It has traditionally had a very strong relationship with Morgan Stanley, advising the bank across all practice areas.
