Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) has appointed Rowan Planterose as its new managing partner, effective from 2 January.
Planterose replaces former managing partner David Hertzell who had indicated his desire to stand down from the role after 14 years as the firm’s managing partner.
Planterose, who specialises in dispute resolution, international arbitration and construction matters, joined DAC in 2003 after 23 years of practising as a barrister. He also previously headed the management committee at Littman Chambers.
DAC senior partner Danny Gowan said in a statement: “I look forward to working alongside Rowan in his new capacity. He is a person of considerable ability and intellect who has much to offer the firm”.
