Dame Hazel becomes dean of UCL law

Star professor Dame Hazel Genn has been appointed as the new dean of University College London’s (UCL) law faculty.

Genn, who has embarked on a five-year term as dean of the faculty, used to be professor of socio-legal studies and co-director of the Centre for Empirical Legal Studies at UCL.

The impressive roster of past alumni includes Indian political and spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, Lord Woolf.
