Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) has made a trio of partner hires in an effort to beef up its contentious capabilities.
Alex Megaw and Barry Goodall have joined the firm’s Manchester office.
Megaw, a former Pannone partner, will join the litigation practice while Goodall, a former Hawkswell Kilvington partner, will join the construction practice to focus on disputes.
The firm has also turned to Vizards Wyeth, hiring the firm’s employment head Wendy Trehy, who will join DAC’s London office.
Trehy joined Vizards Wyeth in February 2008 from BSkyB’s in-house practice.
DAC has set out a strategic plan to build its core litigation practice with a particular emphasis on insurance and real estate. The firm has also vowed to develop an international reach into Spain and Latin America.
The recent recruitment comes after DAC posted a 21 per cent rise in turnover for the 2008-09 year end to £45m from £37m a year earlier.
