DAC Beachcroft
UK 200 position: 22
Overview
Benchmark
2011–12 marked the first year DAC Beachcroft posted its first financial results since the merger of Beachcroft and Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) in November 2011.
This does not allow for an easy like-for-like comparison between the two legacy firms and the new entity. Beachcroft’s 2010–11 turnover of £134m and DAC’s £43m do not quite add up to the 2011-12 combined total of £163.2m.
Still, by the end of the 2012-13 financial year, the firm is expecting to be operating as more than the sum of its parts.
The firm’s leadership of senior partner Simon Hodson and managing partner Paul Murray believe the next turnover figure will be north of £190m.
In November 2012 the firm joined forces with Chilean practices Seguros Lex and Amunategui y Cia to create DAC Beachcroft Chile. The move makes DAC Beachcroft the first European-based law firm to have a presence in the country.
