CITY firm Charles Russell has opened an Internet cafe within its New Fetter Lane premises.

Lawyers and visitors can now access cyberspace at the firm's fourth floor cafe where two Internet links and PCs were installed last week.

Marketing director Simon Slater, responsible for setting up the cybercafe, said that the move means lawyers can "surf, research and browse" free of charge in their spare time.

Slater cited "enthusiasm within the firm" and having a "large amount of clients in the media and entertainments business" as the reasons behind the move. He added that the new facility was already proving popular and the firm was likely to install more Internet links and PCs at the 280-person office in the future.

The firm set up a Web site earlier this year, which can be accessed at: www.cr-law.com.
