The first round of applications for the highly anticipated City Solicitors Educational Trust (CSET) Summer School will be launched on 1 February.
The summer school to be held at Londons Imperial College is an intensive week-long skills programme, which will use commercial law as its context to build participating students knowledge, skills and confidence.
Every student who attends the summer school will have access to individual mentoring and careers advice throughout the remainder of their undergraduate career.
The programme is open to undergraduates who are UK nationals, and is typically targeted at first year law students and non-law undergraduates in their second year. Particular attention will be paid to students who are studying at non-Russell Group universities and who have no immediate family history of university attendance by their parents or guardians.
Application forms will be available from CSETs website, which will be launched shortly. The process will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes and will involve an online test.
Although applications will be accepted until 25 April students are advised to apply early as only 100 places are available.
CSET is being supported by law firms Allen & Overy, Ashurst, Clifford Chance, Faegre & Benson, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hammonds, Herbert Smith, Linklaters, Lovells, Macfarlanes, Penningtons, Slaughter and May and Watson Farley & Williams.
