US firm Crowell & Moring is stepping up its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with tie-ups in Cairo and Saudi Arabia.
The firm is set to open an affiliate office in Cairo and is also entering into a strategic alliance with Saudi firm Al Enizy & Associates.
The Cairo office will be opened under the sponsorship of Hegazy & Associates.
Both moves are part of the Washington-headquartered firm’s efforts to serve its clients interests in the MENA region.
The main practice areas in the region will include public procurement, government contracting, M&A, international disputes and Islamic finance transactions.
The firm will also be targeting businesses in the MENA region that are expanding their operations across the US and Europe, according to chairman Kent Gardiner.
Al Enizy & Associates is headquartered in Riyadh and is managed by Dr Al Enizy, a member of the Saudi Sharia Council.
The Cairo office will operate under the name Hegazy & Associates in Association with Crowell & Moring.
