Covington gains one City partner in latest promotions round

Covington & Burling’s London office has gained one new partner in the firm’s annual promotions round.
Lucinda Osborne has joined the London corporate practice and is the sixth lawyer to be made up in the City in the last three years.
Osborne, whose practice includes IP, focuses on doing transactional work pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
In total Covington promoted 10 lawyers in this round. The other nine are based in the firm’s Washington DC office.
Last year The Lawyer reported that the US firm made up a record number of partners in London, adding two to its City partnership (7 October 2008). Corporate lawyer Gregor Frizzell and privacy lawyer Daniel Cooper were both promoted.
