Covanta Energy turns to Carillion for in-house legal hire

Waste to Energy specialist Covanta Energy has appointed Kim Humphreys as legal counsel.

Humphreys joins Covanta from Carillion, where he spent almost nine years. Before he left, Humphreys was legal director for infrastructure at the support services company.
“I’m looking forward to the new challenge this job will bring,” said Humphreys in a statement. “I look forward to the challenge of dealing with the wide range of issues that arise when building process plants on the scale proposed by Covanta.
“The complexity of the physical and legal structures demands clear and effective contracts and my primary focus will be to ensure that the construction contracts are drawn up thoroughly so that projects can move into and through construction smoothly.”
