This is despite an undoubted increase in the size and complexity of disputes that the courts hear. Our Chambers also deal with a significant amount of Arbitration work and I do not get the sense that the courts are any slower than the arbitral process , and in some instances the Courts are swifter at producing judgments. Reply Link TheEnglishConstitutionalist 5 September 2013 at 14:04 Your report contains a few crucial admissions about the Courts and the Judicial system in England today. It would have been equally welcome to read any views the judge might have on the large and rising numbers of people who are routinely denied access to the courts. In many cases, litigants in person are prevented by lower court judges who routinely deny the say to these persons whose only deficiency appears to be their inclination to question the cavalier ways the given judges behave on the given occasions. How is that propensity to be stopped? And a few dozen similar questions that go to the heart of the system that is letting people down because abusive judges are beyond accountability or control. Nothing that has been put in place in the past 30 years under successive highly publicised access to justice type slogans has addressed the key matter of the idea of justice being denied by unjust members of the judiciary and by the colluding staff.
