The former senior partner of Coudert Brothers Frankfurt has joined German firm Büsing Müffelmann & Theye.
Peter Forster moved to the firm as of counsel at the start of this month. He brings with him real estate expertise and also gives the 17-strong office its first notary.
Coudert Brothers announced the closure of its German offices in June and is in the process of phasing them out. Coudert gained its first foothold in Frankfurt through the acquisition of Fiedler & Forster, of which Peter Forster was a name partner.
Forster is the not the first Coudert refugee to surface at Büsing Müffelmann & Theye. In 2004 Christian Haager left the US firm to join Büsing Müffelmann & Theye where he is now the Frankfurt managing partner.
Büsing Müffelmann & Theye has three offices in Germany, in Frankfurt, Bremen and Berlin.
