French independent Cotty Vivant Marchisio & Lauzeral has launched a Korean desk in its Paris office as part of its focus on Asia.

Cotty Vivant has hired Hyun Chul Cho from the Paris office of Denton Wilde Sapte, where he was an associate for nine years, as the partner to launch and take charge of the Korean desk.

Cho’s practice focuses on advice to Korean companies on their corporate investments in France as well as acting for French companies investing in Korea.

The move comes a month after Cotty Vivant launched an office in Singapore, scooping partner Philippe Taverne from DS Avocats.

Name partner Fabrice Marchisio said: “The Korean desk is another step forward in the firm’s strategic development in Asia.”
