On 5 June, The Lawyer reported that the Government has approved the first professional qualification for paralegals - the BTEC in Legal Work. The Institute of Legal Executives also has a professional qualification for paralegals, more recently in partnership with City & Guilds.

On 12 June, The Lawyer reported that White & Bowker commercial property partner and head of commercial litigation Laurence Dunn had left the firm with a property team. Dunn is an employment partner leading an employment team.
