This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
South West firm Osborne Clarke has promoted eight lawyers to its partnership, more than doubling last year's total.
In keeping with recent years, the corporate group landed the most promotions with three new partners. Two lawyers were made up in the firm's employment pensions and incentives team.
Construction saw its first promotion in at least three years, with Bristol-based Philip Davies added to the partnership. Property and commercial also gained new partners.
Bristol, the firm's biggest office, landed the most promotions with four new partners, followed by London with two. Cologne was the only one of the firm's two international offices to increase its partner count, with commercial lawyer Ulrich Bäumer and corporate specialist Nicolas Gabrysch both promoted. Over the previous three years just two partners have been made up in Germany and none in the US.
Last year the firm made up just three partners, split between corporate and property.
