Cooley saw its global revenues rise nearly 14 per cent over 2015 in its second consecutive year of double-digit growth.

Global turnover rose from $802m to $912m, while revenue increased over 2014 by 19 per cent from $674m.

Average profit per equity partner also jumped, albeit by a slightly smaller percentage of 9 per cent, to $1.9m from $1.7m.

Individual figures have not yet been provided for the firm’s London office, which opened last year after the hire of 55 lawyers from Morrison & Foerster and Edwards Wildman.

This year, over 24 partners have joined Cooley in London out of 30 worldwide, including Reed Smith life sciences partners John Wilkinson and Nicola Maguire and Olswang partner Stephen Rosen. In total, the firm has 277 partners, a jump of 10.2 per cent on 2014’s headcount figures.

Revenue per lawyer went up by 7 per cent to $1.14m over 2015, with last year’s figure reaching $1.06m.
