Cooley opens first non-US outpost in Shanghai

The office will focus on growth sectors such as TMT, life sciences and clean energy. The China practices will span venture capital funds, capital markets and corporate transactions, and commercial, IP and securities.

Cooley will relocate California-based corporate partners Brad Peck and Patrick Loofbourrow to Shanghai, where Peck will head the new office.

Both are experienced in representing technology and life sciences companies, while Loofbourrow has advised investors in such businesses.
